April 2006 - Residential Lending Group System Deployed

At Residential Lending Group
(RLG) of Kirkland, WA business is booming and with the new
growth comes more advanced communications requirements.
Infinity Office Equipment helps fill the void with a
complete turn-key system including Phone Switch,
Copiers, Facsimile, Networking and a Server. Since
the equipment was purchased as a bundle from a single
source, there was no doubt about compatibility and
interconnections. Infinity Office Equipment was able
to bundle all of these items together along with a year
of on-site service for a single low monthly payment.
We installed all of the equipment without the hassle of
coordinating multiple vendors.
Lending companies tend to use a lot of paper. Loan
documents, contracts and and general printing to name a
few. RLG has offices in Kirkland, Olympia and in
Eastern Washington as well as employees that work from
home. It was becoming impractical to transport
paper between these locations in a timely and cost
effective manner. John Juge, the owner of RLG was
looking for a solution when he came to Infinity Office
Equipment for advice. We proposed a near
paperless office where scanning documents to PDF and
allowing employees to use his Virtual Private Network (VPN)
would allow anyone access to any document at any time.
John uses a Xerox CopyCentre 128 Multi-function copier.
This unit is capable of Copying, Scanning, Faxing and
Printing to and from any computer in the network.
Each employee of the company has a button on the Xerox
touch-screen interface that is linked to that employees
private "Scanbox" folder on the network. If a
remote employee needs a document that is currently in
paper format, administration in the main office will
scan it into the private folder where the employee can
access the PDF immediately.
Another headache RLG experienced with the old system was
unavailability to
audit the client database of each employee.
The company uses Calyx Point software for loan
origination and tracking. It keeps customer
information, does credit look-ups and helps to process
the mortgage loans. The RLG administration was
unable to review the daily activities of the employees
since the database from this software was on each users
remote PC. We were able to solve this problem by
relocating these databases on John's server and mapping
"Virtual Drives" through the VPN. When an employee
makes a change to the Point software the changes are
saved onto the server allowing RLG administration to
review the current databases in real time.

communications solutions. Migrating from just
copiers and fax machines, we have expanded our portfolio
to sell and support phone systems, computer networking
and servers. This will allow a customer to have a
"single point of contact for all of their business
communications needs."

have been watching the market and as most of the copier
and multi-function products are more tightly integrated
with PCs and Servers, it makes since for us as a company
to support and maintain that portion of our customers
business.
New
ownership has brought on-board telephony expertise that
will allow Infinity Communications to expand our product
offering to encompass this product line as well.
As with copiers, telephony products are more
computer-centric than ever before which supports our
basis for complete communications solutions.
